About the event

Dementia Communication

Dementia Communication : 10:30am - 11:30am

This practical session explores how carers can communicate more confidently and compassionately with someone living with dementia. It looks at common communication changes, why misunderstandings may happen, and how simple approaches such as calm language, reassurance, patience, body language and meaningful connection can reduce distress and support dignity.

This session is designed to complement another session happening on this day and at the same venue:

Dementia Toolkit : 11.30am - 12:30pm
