Preparing to Pay for Care ONLINE
How much does care cost? Will my loved one have to pay? What happens if they need a care home? Will their house be taken into account?
These are some of the most common questions carers and families ask when navigating the care system.
This practical workshop explains how adult social care is funded, when charges may apply and what financial support may be available. We will explore local authority means testing, paying for care at home, residential and nursing care funding, NHS Continuing Healthcare and the rules around property, savings and capital. Whether you are currently caring for someone, helping a family member plan for the future or simply want to understand the system better, this session will provide the knowledge and confidence needed to make informed decisions about care funding.
