Join us for this online session where you can get involved in our safeguarding reference group to make sure that when a safeguarding is needed, carers views have been taken into account to make the process as carer friendly as possible.

About the event
What is Safeguarding?
Safeguarding means protecting people from harm, abuse, neglect, and exploitation, ensuring their health, well-being, and human rights are upheld so they can live safely and free from danger. This also applies to carers and enabling unpaid carers to care safely.
Did you know we run a Carers Safeguarding Reference Group?
The reference group works with the Worcestershire Safeguarding Adults Board. This helps make sure carers can share their experiences and have a say in how the adults they care for are kept safe in Worcestershire.
The Board values this work because it makes sure carers’ voices are listened to. It helps decision-makers understand what carers need and what matters to them when they are planning how to keep people safe.
