The countdown is on - it is less than 2 weeks until Carers Week!
Join us this Carers Week, raise awareness and find out how you can support unpaid carers in our communities.
Carers Week will be held on the 8th to 14th June and the theme this year is ‘Building Carer Friendly Communities.’
"Carers Week is an annual campaign to raise awareness of caring, highlight the challenges unpaid carers face and recognise the contribution they make to families and communities throughout the UK. It also helps people who don't think of themselves as having caring responsibilities to identify as carers and access much-needed support.
Our theme for Carers Week 2026 is Building Carer Friendly Communities. This will highlight the impact carer friendly communities can have in making a real and lasting difference to the lives of carers everywhere. The campaign will be brought to life by thousands of individuals and organisations taking action to ensure more communities understand, recognise, and empower carers."

This Carers Week, we are shining a light on carers in our communities. Carers play a vital role in our society and this week is a valued opportunity to share what we do, how carers can reach us and what partners, professionals, businesses and all of us can do to support those looking after loved ones.

Fundraising
This week may be Carers Week, but carers care all year round. If you would like to support us to reach and provide vital support, you may wish to get involved and fundraise with us.
Every day, thousands of people dedicate their time to caring for someone they love.
It might be a partner supporting their spouse, a parent caring for a child, or a young person looking after a family member.
Caring can be a truly meaningful and fulfilling role – but it can also come with challenges. Many carers go without recognition, practical help, or someone to talk to.
Your donation can help make life that little bit easier for a carer. It could offer a listening ear, provide useful advice at just the right time, or simply remind someone that they’re not alone.
Every £1 we receive helps support someone who is looking after a family member to feel less lonely, continue to work, take a break and be confident in their caring role.
Go Without Campaign

Our Go Without Campaign is in it’s second year and we want to ramp it up this year!
But, what is it all about?
Did you know?
The economic value of the support provided by unpaid carers in England and Wales is an estimated £162 billion per year.
Without carers, this would have a huge impact on everyone in society.
Carers UK say that; “Social Services and the NHS rely on carers’ willingness and ability to provide care. Without the support of unpaid carers, these systems would collapse.”
Yet very often it is carers who go without.
Carers go without a break
Carers go without sleep
Carers go without social connection
Carers go without their own health and wellbeing
Carers go without or have to juggle work and care
These are just a few examples of the value of caring and the impact it has on carers in a caring role.
This Carers Week, we are asking you to show your support by going without in support of carers.
What would you go without and donate to us?
Would you go without your favourite coffee?
Would you go without your lunch out this week?
Would you go without your trip out? The cinema, shopping, a meal with friends, spa, sports match?
Would you go without your car? Could you bike or walk to work?
What would you go without?
These are just a few ideas, you are welcome to think of your own!
Go without as an individual, or get your friends, colleagues involved. We would love to see your creativity and innovative ideas!!
All donations will go towards helping unpaid carers get the support they need, whilst raising awareness of caring in our communties.
