Citizens Advice, Age UK and Carers & Communities are working with public sector and voluntary, community and social enterprise partners on a new initiative called Preparing for Care.
"Worcestershire County Council and its partner agencies are carrying out this survey to better understand how people think about planning for future care and support.
Your feedback will help us improve the information, advice and services available across Worcestershire, so that people can make informed choices, plan ahead with confidence and remain independent for as long as possible.
Taking part is voluntary, and there are no right or wrong answers. We are interested in your experiences, views and ideas, whether or not you have thought about future care before. The findings will help inform the future planning and development of local care and support services."
About the initiative
The initiative aims to help people plan ahead, stay independent and live well for as long as possible.
By providing the right information, support and connections at the right time, we want to help people feel more confident and in control of their future, whatever that may look like.
Why carers’ views matter
We know that thinking about the future and preparing for possible care needs can bring barriers, worries and difficult questions. For carers, these conversations can happen at any stage of life and may be prompted by their caring role.
We want to make sure carers’ views are heard. Your responses will help identify the information, resources and support that could enable more carers to prepare for care in the future.
Complete the questionnaire
We would be very grateful if you could complete the questionnaire by Friday 7 August 2026.

How the information will be used
The information gathered through the questionnaire will help us better understand:
· people’s experiences, concerns and priorities;
· the information and support they would find most helpful; and
· how services can work together to support independence and wellbeing.
The findings will provide vital evidence to shape future work, services and support across Worcestershire.
